I was born and raised here in the Santa Barbara area. I've been working locally in styling, event design, event management, store design, visual direction, floral design, and private and corporate event planning since 1995. In 2001, I founded my event production company Alegria by Design to offer my unique skill set of branding, planning and design.
Alegria by Design reflects my personal dedication to beauty, style, cultural diversity and most importantly, happiness. I carried the desire to create something of my own for quite some time; something that would meet my own personal standards for happiness. Alegria by Design has been an incredible forum to express myself creatively and share that freedom and joy with others. I sincerely believe that the unifying factor in the human experience is the desire to achieve happiness and love in our lives. And by sharing that with those around us, we teach and inspire. With each day, we have another opportunity for Alegria!

Event planning feels natural and allows me to utilize my creative and production background. I was born and raised in Santa Barbara and obtained my degree locally in Art & Graphic Design. Over fifteen years of experience in styling, photo shoot and event production have taught me how to provide personalized attention to each of my clients to ensure their wedding day vision comes to life. I love the challenge and complexity of adapting the planning process to each event, and bringing all the detailed pieces together. My pride and joy? My family, of course: husband Jason and three kids Ella, Noah and Cole. My passion? The fulfillment and satisfaction I gain in being a part of creating an experience that will last a lifetime.
